TYPES OF FUNDS

Community Impact Fund

The Community Impact Fund is the most flexible fund type. Your gift will be invested in a permanent endowment and used to meet the wide range of community needs. An unrestricted fund enables the New Bremen Foundation to support long-term community solutions, respond quickly to emergencies, and meet the changing social, cultural, educational, and environmental needs of the community. The NBF Board of Trustees will assess the most pressing community needs and respond by supporting the nonprofit organizations that undertake the most critical projects.

Field of Interest Fund

This type of fund allows you to choose a particular field of interest to support. It can reflect your own interests and concerns for the community. The fund will then be used to support charities or projects within that field of interest. Examples of interests are education, arts, youth development, the environment, etc. This type of fund allows for some flexibility in meeting the needs of

the community.

Designated Fund

This type of fund enables you to support one or more specific organizations of your choice. These funds ensure that the charity you choose will receive support over a long period of time. Examples include churches, school programs, and other local associations.

Donor Advised Fund

Donor-Advised funds are for donors who wish to be actively involved in grant-making. This type of fund allows you to recommend grants to support charities and projects of your choice. You decide how the income of your fund is used, within

trustee guidelines.
